Live And Love Your Wine!

As evidenced in the title, I am writing today to encourage you to Live And Love Your Wine!

Get out there and taste wine people!!!!!!
What do I mean? Well, I believe people need to taste more wine.  Shortly after getting into wine many years ago, a known winemaker shared the secret to a good palate with me.  He advised that I TASTE, TASTE, TASTE.  Like anything, to get good requires lots of practice – or just doing. A New Year Visit to Napa and Jessup

Well it’s been awhile since my last blog; hopefully everyone had an enjoyable Christmas and New Years!  I know I did!  To start of the year right, two weekends ago I took a short trip to Napa with some friends from San Diego.  We had a blast! One of my friends is actually a restaurant manager at a very nice place in San Diego.  Her restaurant’s sommelier suggested we visit some of the wineries they carry on their wine list, and of course, in order to compare, we had to stop by Jessup at the end.

Holiday Wine Gift Idea #2

Of course you are currently scrolling through the Jessup Cellars website right now, trying to decide the perfect bottle of wine to buy for all of the people (21+) on your list this holiday season. (Need an interesting container for that bottle?  See my previous post: Holiday Wine Gift Idea) My suggestion for the best bottle to gift: 2008 Table for Four.  This wine left my husband and I speechless when we first tried it in the Yountville tasting room, and it continues to please each and every time we open a bottle!
