Washington Street runs about eight blocks through downtown Yountville, and wine is only part of what makes it a world-famous destination. From thirty-two rotating outdoor sculptures in the town’s Art Walk, to a resident gallery with curated exhibitions at the Community Center, art is an essential part of Yountville’s charm and culture Each spring, the Art, Sip & Stroll festival turns the same street into a juried art fair backed by tastings at wineries up and down the block. If you came to Yountville for the wine and are wondering what else there is to do, the art scene is another great reason to park the car and walk.
This guide covers what happens at Art, Sip & Stroll, where to find galleries and public art beyond the festival, and how to build a day that includes a stop at Jessup Cellars.
What Happens at Yountville’s Art, Sip & Stroll?
Art, Sip & Stroll is Yountville’s annual art fair, held each spring along Washington Street between Railroad Avenue and First Street. The 2026 edition, its fourteenth year, took place Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with general admission free to walk the street (Wine Industry Advisor).
More than 80 juried artists showed work in painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and jewelry in 2026, alongside live music and food vendors. A $50 tasting package included a glass and tokens redeemable at more than 20 participating wineries along the route, plus a poster hand-signed by the festival’s featured artist, and Yountville’s free Bee Bus shuttle ran the length of Washington Street so no one had to find parking twice (Wine Industry Advisor).
Jessup Cellars, at 6740 Washington Street, has poured at the festival for years and keeps its art and wine gallery at Jessup Cellars open to browse the current exhibition while you’re on the street. Dates, pricing, and the featured artist change from year to year, so check the Jessup Cellars events calendar for the next confirmed date before you plan around it.
Where Else Can You See Art in Yountville?
Beyond the festival, Yountville supports a working gallery scene year-round.
The Jessup Cellars gallery is curated by Julie Eppich, who also serves as Vice Chair of the Public Art Steering Committee for the City of Napa. Resident artists include Nick Cann, a pen-and-ink illustrator; William McIntyre, a self-taught illustrator working in acrylic and watercolor; and Eric White, a glass artist working in blown and coldworked glass. The gallery’s exhibitions rotate alongside the tasting room.
A short walk away, the Steve Rogers Gallery at the Yountville Community Center mounts rotating exhibitions of Napa Valley, Bay Area, and visiting artists, paired with QR-linked audio tours where the artists talk through their own work (Napa Valley Life). Its summer 2026 show, Katherine Zimmer’s “In the Middle of Somewhere,” ran alongside her turn as this year’s Art, Sip & Stroll featured artist.
For a larger institutional stop, the Napa Valley Museum Yountville, at 55 Presidents Circle, mounts touring and national exhibitions alongside local and regional shows (Napa Valley Museum).
Where Is the Public Art Along Washington Street?
The Yountville Art Walk has lined Washington Street with rotating outdoor sculpture since 2009. The program maintains 32 unique locations for sculptures on loan from local and international artists, with pieces typically on view for a two-year run before rotating out.
Some pieces stay for good. The Town of Yountville purchased two steel and stone sculptures by artist Bruce Gueswel, “Poly” and “Raven,” for permanent display at Van de Leur Park, the triangular green space where Washington and Jefferson streets meet Webber Avenue. The Art Walk itself is self-guided and free, and the town publishes a downloadable map and audio tour for anyone who wants to walk it piece by piece rather than stumble onto it between tasting rooms.
How Do You Build a Cultural Day Trip in Yountville?
A day that mixes art and wine in Yountville doesn’t take much planning. One way to lay it out:
- Start with the Art Walk. Washington Street in the morning, before the wineries open, is the easiest time to take in the sculptures without crowds. While you’re wandering, stop for coffee at Bouchon Bakery or Mini Model.
- Step into a gallery. The Jessup Cellars gallery and the Steve Rogers Gallery are both an easy stop before midday.
- Reserve a tasting. Reserve a tasting at Jessup Cellars to pair the art you just saw with a flight. The gallery is included with any visit, from a walk-in bar tasting to the seated Wine and Cheese Pairing Experience.
- Have lunch downtown, we love R+D Kitchen, Bouchon Bistro, or Clementine.
- Spend the afternoon at the Napa Valley Museum Yountville or whatever is currently on view at the Steve Rogers Gallery.
