The inaugural Yountville Int’l Short Film Festival (YISFF) debuts February 8 – 11 in Napa Valley’s culinary capitol of Yountville. Sponsored by the Town of Yountville and its world-class lodging establishments, and inspired by the annual Jessup Cellars Art House Short Film Series, the YISFF features 100 films from more than 24 countries around the globe. Films will be presented in 20 themed blocks over four-days, exploring life stories through world-class short films at three pop-up cinemas.
“The Yountville business community is proud to bring a short film festival to the town of Yountville,” stated Chamber President & CEO Whitney Diver McEvoy. “This festival combines all the best that Yountville is known for, compelling art, culinary excellence, world-renowned wine and the intimate friendly experiences that create lasting memories.”
The featured films exemplify excellence in every genre from thought-provoking documentaries and drama, to comedy, entertaining science fiction selections, beautifully crafted animation, to family-friendly shorts and more. In true Yountville-style, the food and wine experiences will be as unforgettable as the films. The festival features three Pop-Up Cinemas located at The Barrel Room at The Estate Yountville, Bardessono Resort & Spa and Heritage Room at the Community Hall.
In partnership with CellarPass.com, the festival’s schedule and ticketing is available at YISFF.com.

YISFF will co-host a VIP and media sneak preview screening on Saturday, January 20 at Bardessono Resort & Spa from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. The event will be combined with the opening night of Jessup Cellars Fifth Annual Art House Short Film Series, which runs monthly through April. The series has become a hot ticket and is known for pairing four award-winning films with wine and flavor-infused popcorns created by Chef MikeC.
“As film buffs, we’re honored to work with the businesses, and the hotels and inns of Yountville, to help bring this new cinematic feast to our locals and visitors,” said Tracy McArdle, General Manager of Yountville’s Jessup Cellars and Handwritten Wines. “The format is so dynamic and immediate. Within a short series of frames, these award-winning stories unfold and close…and then it’s on to the next film block and culinary experience!”
