Perennial Art House Sessions artist JESSE THOMAS is most characterized by her smoky, battle scarred voice and her unique blend of indie singer songwriter, folk, and country. She’s been described as the love child of TOM WAITS and JANIS JOPLIN, blending old school Americana with new school rock. The LA TIMES said, “Her voice, rough and quivering, recalls the country forays of BRIGHT EYES’ CONOR OBERST…”
Jesse’s first full-length album War Dancer charted top 25 on three different Billboard categories. Her single, “You I Want,” was featured as a Starbucks Pick of The Week. Songs from her debut Hazel EP “You I Want” was also featured as “Pick of the Week” in Starbucks stores throughout the United States and Canada. “Stay” was placed on the TV show DEGRASSI, on TEEN NICK, becoming an instant YouTube sensation. Her songs have also appeared on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, SHAMELESS, THE FOSTERS, HEART OF DIXIE, and THE REAL L WORD.
Originally from Kentucky, and currently based in Los Angeles, Jesse Thomas has opened for artists such as JOHN MAYER, BRETT DENNEN, CARY BROTHERS, CRASH KINGS, OWL CITY, LIGHTS, ANDREA GIBSON, MEIKO and ANGEL TAYLOR.
