Ever wanted to taste like a Master Sommelier? Our upcoming Jessup Cellars Blind Tasting Somm Series offers a fun and educational virtual wine tasting experience. This three-month blind tasting series will feature three new release Jessup Cellars wines alongside three comparative French wines from the La Cave wine portfolio.
Back in 1976, The Paris Wine Tasting, otherwise known as the Judgement of Paris, was hosted by the late Steven Spurrier. The blind tasting brought together the world’s foremost wine experts to sample and select the best representation of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from around the world. Our Jessup Cellars Blind Tasting Somm Series seeks to recreate the same excitement and mysteriousness with a sampling of Jessup’s most popular wines from Napa and Alexander Valley, along with a hand-selected curation of similar French expressions.
Hosting this educational event will be resident sommelier Philip O’Conor and Jessup’s Director of Business Development and owner of La Cave wine imports, Frederick Boelen. Joining the panel of curators and judges, will be guest Master Sommelier and Wine Director at PRESS Napa Valley, Vincent Morrow, MS.
This virtual wine tasting will turn it over to YOU, to test your expertise, express your wine senses, and impress your friends and coworkers. As part of this blind tasting package, you and your guests will receive six blind-wrapped bottles, including three favorites from one of the best wineries in Yountville, along with three comparitive French wines specially curated by Frederick. You will see Philip and Vincent truly put to the test as they teach you how to taste and analyze a wine in the same way that a Master Sommelier would. Also included in exclusive access to the LIVE zoom event, where you will be able to interact and ask questions to the hosts and other tasting participants.

Each event will include tasting techniques to identify clues on where the wines might be from, explanation as to why that is, and a critical view of each terroir.
