Jessup Cellars, a premium Yountville winery, offers several in-person and virtual wine-tasting experiences for their guests and members to enjoy.
Their most comprehensive and popular tasting format is the Jessup Cellars’ Classic Tasting, an extensive wine and cheese pairing presentation that pairs five Jessup varietals and blends with carefully selected artisan cheeses that complement each wine beautifully.
Presented in the following sequence, the Classic Tasting features a guided wine tasting of five wines, each paired with a specifically selected artisan cheese.
- Chardonnay – 100% Chardonnay from Los Carneros – Cheese Pairing: “Capricho de Cabra” (goat’s milk cheese)
- “Rougette” – Grenache-blend from Mendocino – Cheese Pairing: Holy Cow, a semi-soft cow’s milk cheese)
- Zinfandel – 100% Zinfandel from Alexander Valley – Cheese Pairing: Majorero Pimenton (another goat’s milk cheese)
- Cabernet Sauvignon – 100% Napa Valley – 83.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.9% Petite Verdot, 3.6% Petite Sirah, 3.2% Cabernet Franc – Cheese Pairing: Barely Buzzed, a unique Cheddar rubbed with espresso and lavender
- “Juel” – Bordeaux-style blend 44.4% Merlot, 39.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.4% Petite Verdot, 6.4% Cabernet Franc, 3.7% Petite Sirah – Cheese Pairing: Snowfield Aged Cheddar
As a supplement to this extraordinary Tasting Experience, participants will also enjoy dark chocolate discs (72% dark cacao) from a local chocolatier, Anette’s Chocolate Factory, and some orange honey almonds from Napa Nuts.

Tasting Flights: A wine-only experience, guests can enjoy comparing flights of three to five different wines. This tasting allows participants to test their skills at differentiating the nuances of each excellent wine.
