When you choose to bring your dog to the winery with you, everyone wins (including us). Your dog gets an adventure full of new smells and new faces, plus your tasting experience is made even better by pairing it with pats on the head for your best pal. Not to mention, our staff is delighted to see four paws walking in beside you.

We’re ready with treats whenever you are.

Many wineries in Yountville allow for dogs to accompany you, but there are often policies in place to ensure a great experience for you and other guests. This guide is designed to help you find wineries near you that allow dogs and make sure you’re prepared for the adventure.

Tips For Planning a Dog-Friendly Winery Outing

Scout out the wineries near you, visit their website, or give them a call to ask about their pet policy. Get the scoop before you pack up the car and use the following checklist to have the best winery visit you can.

Get foundational training established

Public places are a great way to reinforce training methods, but you want to make sure your dog understands what you expect of them. Getting your training down will make your winery trip a bonding experience for both of you, and you might impress some fellow visitors, too.

Give them a good walking-to

A winery visit is your turn to relax, so make sure you arrive with a happily tired doggo. Give your pup a good long walk, run, or romp before you head to the winery. This will ensure that they’re able to relax with you all afternoon.

Be prepared

Bring everything you need—treats, training tools, a water bowl, and maybe even your fur babies’ favorite toy to keep them occupied.

Wineries Near Me That Allow Dogs: A Local Guide

There are many dog-friendly wineries in Yountville including Jessup Cellars, Chandon, Cliff Lede Vineyards, and Stewart Cellars. Here are some details to keep in mind.

CHANDON

Walk-ins are welcome from Monday to Sunday until 4 pm, and you can choose from an array of tasting experiences by appointment from Thursday to Sunday from 10 am-4 pm. Dogs are allowed outdoors only and must remain on a leash during your visit.

Cliff Lede Vineyards

Reservations are required to visit the Cliff Lede tasting room. Service animals and well-behaved dogs are also welcome in outdoor areas. Your pup must be leashed and remain at your designated table throughout your visit.

Stewart Cellars

The tasting room is open for walk-ins every day from 11 am-6 pm, however, reservations are recommended. The tasting room allows leashed dogs on their outdoor patio only, and the staff asks that you call ahead of time and let them know that you’re bringing a four-legged friend ahead of time.

Jessup Cellars: Your Dog-Friendly Winery Destination

At Jessup Cellars, we’re as dog-friendly as we are people-friendly. You and your pup are welcome to our Yountville Tasting Room daily from 10 am-6 pm.

When you visit our tasting room, our staff is happy to treat your furry friends to a complimentary Jessup Cup containing non-dairy whipped cream. But if that’s not enough, we’ve curated an entire tasting menu for Fido so that while you’re sipping on wine and food pairings, your pup is chowing down too.

We hope to see you soon.
