Andrew Wright
Executive Winemaker
BIOGRAPHY
Hometown: Sonoran Desert
About: Andrew Wright grew up in the Sonoran Desert, knowing very little about wine and the winemaking industry. After college he consumed volumes of wine literature and the wines they described, expanding his palate and shaping his philosophies today. Andrew began his winemaking career planting vines in the high desert outside of Sonoita, Arizona, where he worked several growing seasons before transitioning into the wine cellar. These early experiences on the frontier of the wine world forged a deep appreciation for hard work, experimentation and winemaking with intention.
In 2012, Andrew moved to Napa Valley and worked in the vineyards and cellars of Harlan and BOND Estates, Promontory, and The Napa Valley Reserve across 8 vintages. In 2019 he became the head Winemaker for Merryvale Vineyards, overseeing all aspects of farming and production.
Andrew graduated with a History degree from the University of Arizona before studying winemaking at UC Davis.
Zachary Scott

Hometown: Napa, CA

About: Zack is a Napa native who attended Humboldt State University, earning a degree in geography with a minor in anthropology. He embarked on his winemaking career in 2012 when offered a position as a harvest intern, discovering a profound love of working in the cellar.
As cellar master, Zachary Scott plays a vital role at Jessup Cellars, blending technical skill with hands-on dedication in every vintage.
When not at the winery, he enjoys spending time with his family or reading science fiction, historical fiction, and fantasy books.
With the combined experience of Andrew Wright and Zachary Scott, Jessup Cellars winemaker leadership continues to shape premium Napa Valley wines rooted in craft and character.
