Photo Finale ~ Napa Valley Mustard Celebration
Now is the perfect to time explore Napa Valley vineyards and landscapes with cameras and iPhones. While the beautiful yellow mustard flowers that brighten Napa winters will bloom through March, they are arriving in Napa Valley a little later this year due to recent rains and cool grey winter days. The submission deadline has been extended to February 10.
The 2024 Mustard Celebration’s Photo Finale is the brainchild of its Founder, MJ Schaer, who created the exhibition last year, The 2023 event was a great success and I was strongly encouraged to bring it back in 2024 to give our community and visitors another opportunity to experience the Mustard in a Gallery setting, states MJSchaer. “Photo Finale invites all photographers of all ages, whether amateur or professional the opportunity to show their photographs in this beautiful winter time of year.” Schaer guarantees visitors will experience a ‘lift’ when they walk into the Jessup Cellars Gallery and view the colorful, creative and beautiful photographs.
The Photo Finale 2024 showcases the talents and visions of photographers of all age levels and expertise. Its purpose is to celebrate nature’s unmatched “Yellow Gold” splendor of the Mustard Bloom that blankets the Napa Valley landscape and vineyards from December through March.
All photos must depict the Winter Mustard of Napa Valley in some aspect. The exhibition will be comprised of three categories for submission: Landscape, Pet/Animals and Innovative. All photos in the exhibit will be available for purchase. There will be a People’s Choice Award decided by public voting and professional jurors will award First, Second and Honorable Mention honors in each category.
The Photo Finale 2024 exhibit will premiere March 1st at Jessup Cellars Tasting Gallery, with an opening reception on Saturday, March 2nd, and will run through March 31st.
