Nick Cann
Nick Cann is an illustrator and designer whose career spans more than six decades of creative work across film, publishing, and public art. Formally trained at San Jose State University, the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and Art Center in Los Angeles, he began his career as a set illustrator for MGM Studios before launching his freelance practice in 1965. Known for his intricate pen-and-ink drawings and architectural whimsy, Nick’s commissions have included murals for Continental Airlines, airport installations, film festival branding in Chicago, and editorial illustrations for the London Times. His wide-ranging body of work also includes album covers for jazz artist Blossom Dearie and visual diaries for The Last Samurai. Drawing has remained a constant throughout his life—an enduring form of expression that bridges fantasy and form. Now in his 80s, Nick continues to create with the same curiosity and meticulous craftsmanship that have defined his legacy.William McIntyre
William McIntyre is a self-taught illustrator known for his expressive, figurative work in acrylic ink and watercolor. With a background in journalism, political theory, and metal fabrication, William brings a layered perspective to his visual storytelling. Before focusing on art full time, he worked in the trades as a welder and blacksmith specializing in architectural decorative metals, alongside experience in steel detailing and machine programming. His illustrations blend whimsy with modernist influences, often drawing from Cubism and surrealism to explore the abstract dimensions of the human condition. Favoring hands-on materials over digital tools, William’s work balances humor, critique, and emotional resonance. Each piece is a reflection of his commitment to craft and his belief in art as a tool for playful self-expression and cultural commentary.Eric White
Eric White is a glass artist whose vibrant, dimensional works explore the interplay of light, form, and color. Trained in the traditions of glassblowing and coldworking, Eric creates pieces that reflect both the precision of craftsmanship and the spontaneity of creative exploration. His work complements the illustrative focus of this exhibition by offering a sculptural dialogue—one that transforms drawn ideas into glowing, tactile experiences. Inspired by the natural world and the emotional language of color, Eric’s glasswork invites viewers into a visual conversation where light becomes the medium and form becomes the message. His radiant pieces add depth and contrast to the exhibition, bridging disciplines while expanding the conversation around storytelling in art.JESSUP ART GALLERY CURATOR
