Join Us Wednesday, April 19th for the Artist Meet-and-Greet!
Meet the Yountville underpass mural artists Sofia Lacin and Hennessy Christophel on the evening before the project begins. The artist meet-and-greet includes art project presentation, Jessup Cellars wine tasting and light nosh. The gathering takes place at Jessup Cellars Gallery on April 19th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

If you haven’t heard, we are holding a raffle to win a3L etched bottle of Jessup Cellars 2012 Manny’s Blend. Raffle tickets are $1 each. You may stop by the Jessup Cellars Tasting Gallery during business hours to enter. The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, April 25th following Yountville’s ‘Art, Sip & Stroll’ weekend!
Each of the two “The Memory of a Tree” paintings on either side of the underpass will be 94 feet wide, 12 feet tall and covering the abutments of the Highway 29 underpass and California Drive.
Mostly done in blues and browns, the imagery will demonstrate to visitors “how many of us are rooted to this land through generations,” Christophel and Lacin wrote in a presentation to the Arts Council.
The reception is complimentary with limited passes available on a first-come, first-served basis.
