Our 5th annual chocolate seminar promises to be another unforgettable epicurean experience. Join our team in welcoming world-class master chocolatier and Food Network’s “Chopped” champion, Chris Kollar, as he shares the intricacies of chocolate-making and insights on how to pair wine and chocolate. What better way to welcome the holidays!
Join us on Thursday December 2nd at our Yountville winery tasting gallery for an exploration of one of the most popular foods in the world! Yountville’s own Chris Kollar will join us again for this annual celebration of the holidays. Together with our Jessup Cellars team, Chris will guide guests on the process of chocolate tasting with samplings of Jessup Cellars’ most sought-after wines, Chardonnay and Zinfandel, we will explore the art of making and pairing exquisite chocolate truffles with our wines. We will end with a discussion and tasting of fortified dessert wines (Infinite Recursion) and will also showcase an amazing take-home option.
Chris is a self-taught chocolatier on a mission to elevate chocolate into an artistic, sensory experience. Chris’ extensive travels in Switzerland, Italy and France lent him a great foundation for what would later become an award-winning artisan chocolate shop located heart of Napa just minutes from our Yountville winery tasting gallery. Chris’ creations include a curated assortment of European-style chocolates, inspired by signature new-world flavors.
This epicurean experience is one not to be missed! Chris has even recreated the topographical map of Napa with chocolate ganache allowing you to taste and paint on all of your favorite chocolate AVAs along the way!
Among the curation of handcrafted wines that you’ll taste is our limited-edition Jessup Cellars Infinite Recursion, 12th Reflection. This limited-production fortified Cabernet is a Solera-style fortified wine sourced from Mother Barrels created from twelve historic vintages. Infinite Recursions is a crowd favorite, full of festive charm. Alluring stewed cherry, spiced plum, blackberry and licorice provide a divine accompaniment to Kollar Chocolates’ fun and innovation creations.
