On behalf of Yountville’s drive to fund “The Memory of a Tree” mural being painted on either side of the underpass at Highway 29 and California Drive, Jessup Cellars hosted a four-month long raffle to win a 3L etched bottle of Jessup Cellars’ highly coveted 2012 Manny’s Blend that raised $5,000.00. Created and painted by artists Sofia Lacin and Hennessy Christophel of LC Studio Tutto, the imagery is meant to demonstrate to visitors “how many of us are rooted to this land through generations,” Lacin and Christophel wrote in a presentation to the Yountville Arts Council (YAC).

On April 19th, as part of Arts in April, Jessup Cellars hosted a meet-the-greet reception with Lacin and Christophel, where the duo presented the mural project to town leaders and residents. The art project started the following day on April 20, 2017.

Other generous donors that helped the project reach its $85,000 goal include the town of Yountville at $25,000, the Vine Trail Coalition at $15,000, the Inn’s & Hotels of Yountville – Yountville Tourism Improvement Districts at $15,000, and the Villagio Inn & Spa & Vintage Estates $5,000.

The town, artists and fans of the project are continually updating the progress of the project with photos and comments on social media using the hash tag #YVMURAL.
